April - All things Spring

APRIL
This month has flown by! Having just come back from our trip to Post Soller, Mallorca, where we stayed at the Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel. It was the most relaxing, tranquil hotel I have ever stayed at (See more in my travel section). The hotel was situated on a cliff edge between the mountains and the sea, which is why, I believe you could feel such a tranquil energy throughout the hotel. Something I have not experienced before and since coming back I have been reading up on mountain energy.
The mountains are believed to possess valuable ancient wisdom and the ability to provide a sense of tranquillity. Throughput history, people went on mountain journeys to find their inner peace. Mountain sounds and smells can apparently soothe your nerves and brings a feeling of calm. This truly was the case on our holiday and for anyone life me who hasn’t experienced it before, was magical.
The book I took with me on this trip was SEN BAZ URU - One thousand steps to happiness, fold by fold. A very inspiring book - one which I do recommend!
In other news, my Pilates regime added into my normal workouts has been going well. I have added in three short Pilates sessions in a week to my normal workouts. I’ve felt a difference since starting it. I like the idea that it can be done anywhere an all I need is an exercise band which I can fit into my purse!
Since being home we have been on lots of local country walks including a trip to Dransfield house, where we actually got to sit in the garden with a drink as the sun was shining.
I’m now busy planning our next trip away in May, where we are going to Dubai. Dubai is somewhere we have been going for the last ten years. It’s the perfect place to go for amazing food, exceptional hospitality and of course the sun.
