January - A Brand New Year

SETTING REALISTIC GOALS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

As the new year approaches, like most people, I always start thinking about setting goals and making resolutions for the year ahead. One of the most popular areas for setting goals is health and fitness. January is the perfect time to start fresh and make positive changes to your health and fitness routines. I have a great fitness routine so to be able to build upon that is my main focus in that area this year.

SETTING GOALS

Setting goals is an important step in achieving success. When it comes to health and fitness, it’s important to set realistic goals that you can achieve over time. Whether it’s losing weight, getting in shape, or simply improving your overall health, it’s important to create a plan that works for you. I find that working out Monday to Friday in the gym works for me and long walks fuelled by take away coffees is how I get my steps in on the weekends!
One way to set achievable goals is to break them down into smaller milestones. This can help you stay motivated and focused on your progress.
Another way to make positive changes is to find an activity that you enjoy. Whether it’s running, swimming, yoga, or dancing, finding an activity that you look forward to can help you stay motivated and committed to your goals.

TRAVEL PLANS

We also like to set out our travel plans for the year ahead, having already booked all our flights for the year ahead now all I have to do is research the hotels which I find is the fun part!! Traveling is a great way to explore new places, experience different cultures, and create lasting memories. Here are a few tips to help you plan for your travel adventures in the new year:

1. Research your destination: Before you travel, research your destination to learn about the culture, customs, and local attractions.
2. Plan ahead: Make a list of the places you want to visit and plan your itinerary accordingly.
3. Stay active: Incorporate physical activity into your travel plans, such as hiking, biking, or walking tours and most importantly, if you can, a ski trip!

HEALTHY FOOD

Eating healthy is essential for maintaining our overall health and wellbeing. Here are a few tips to help you incorporate healthy food into your daily routine:
1. Plan your meals: Plan your meals ahead of time to ensure you have healthy options available.
2. Shop the perimeter of the grocery store: The perimeter of the grocery store typically contains fresh produce, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
3. Cook at home: Cooking at home allows you to control the ingredients and portion sizes of your meals.

In conclusion, the new year is a great time to focus on our health and fitness goals, plan for travel adventures, and incorporate healthy food into our daily routines.
