YOUR GUIDE TO DUBAI
Planning a trip to Dubai? Think of this as your personal guide...
Dubai is a dazzling city known for its modern architecture, luxury shopping, and vibrant nightlife, it is a popular travel destination year-round. If you have been thinking about going then here are even more reasons why you should do it!
This guide will help make this an unforgettable experience. I will be recommending the best restaurants, bars and hotels in Dubai. With amazing views and experiences along the way.

ABOUT DUBAI
Dubai is situated on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai has emerged as a global city built of skyscrapers and beaches. It strives to be the best and have the best of everything. It has some of the most amazing hotels in the world - including the worlds only 7 start hotel. (More on this on my experiences page)
Dubai has something for everyone, from couples to young families, and the older generation...it is a place where nothing is too much trouble and the impossible made possible.
BEST TIME TO TRAVEL
The best time to visit Dubai largely depends on your preferences and what you want to experience during your trip. For those who want to bask in Dubai's sunny weather and enjoy outdoor activities, the best time to visit is during the winter months, from November to March. The weather during this time is pleasant and ideal for exploring the city's attractions, taking desert safaris, and enjoying beach activities. Additionally, this period includes Dubai's peak tourist season, so you can experience a wide range of events, festivals, and entertainment options.
On the other hand, if you are looking to avoid crowds and take advantage of discounted hotel rates, visiting during the summer months, from late May to early September, may be a viable option. However, Dubai's summer months bring scorching temperatures, often exceeding 100°F (40°C) but with the swimming pools and air conditioning this is also a great time to visit and personally my favourite.
Ultimately, the best time to visit Dubai varies based on individual preferences and specific interests. Whether you prefer mild temperatures and bustling streets or discounted rates and warmer weather, Dubai offers something for every type of traveller throughout the year.

WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK IN DUBAI
Dubai has an abundance of amazing bars and restaurants to eat and drink. (These are all individually featured in my food section) Each venue tends to hold a ladies night and on those specific nights they offer ladies money off their food and cocktails so its always worth seeing when those are before you book. Here are just a few recommendations but the list goes on...
Buddha Bar
Situated in the Grosvenor Hotel, the world famous Buddha bar offers a vast Pan-Asian cuisine and cocktails with live entertainment as you dine. With a great atmosphere and an amazing bar for after dinner drinks. Its the venue not to miss.
Make sure you prebook as it does get busy especially on the show nights from Wednesday to Saturday
Zengo
Zengo Dubai: A Fusion of Pan-Asian Flavours and Modern Elegance. If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Dubai, then Zengo is the place to be. It offers a fusion of Pan-Asian flavours in a setting that exudes modern elegance and sophistication with amazing views from their outside terrace.
I would always recommend sitting outside to get the full experience and take in the views. They hold ladies nights on a Tuesday with offers on cocktails!
Tamoka
Tamoka is beachside dining destination inspired by the rich culture and vibrant flavours of Latin America. It is highly recommended to watch the sunset from their beach swing with a cocktail in had. An experience not to be missed.
Situated in the Ritz Carlton and no booking is needed for drinks in the beach bar, however, dinner bookings recommended.
Toro Toro
Situated in the heart of Dubai, Toro Toro is a vibrant and contemporary restaurant that offers an unparalleled dining experience. From its stylish setting to its exquisite cuisine, Toro Toro embodies the spirit of Latin America, captivating diners with its bold flavours and sophisticated ambiance.
City Social
Dine high above the city at City Social where you are so high you feel like you are in the clouds! Its an unforgettable evening with fine dining and delicious wine paring to suit.
Situated on the 43rd Floor of the Grosvenor House hotel. Whilst there take a trip to the bar on the 44th floor and enjoy the cocktails with an epic view.

GETTING TO DUBAI
You can reach Dubai from London in approx 7hours and 19minutes. So its not too far and guarantees you will almost always get great weather whilst you are there! The time difference in the summer is 3 hours ahead of the UK.
TIPS FOR TRAVEL
Here are a few helpful tips for travelling in Dubai:
You don't need to book a car from the airport - there are hundreds of taxis all different sizes ready to pick you up. Fuel prices out there are so low the prices of the taxis are low too.
You can pay by card everywhere in Dubai so there is no need for cash.
Its a good idea to book in restaurants as at certain times of the year its busy so its worth having something booked so you can get the exact time you want - although we've never had a problem getting a reservation.
You can drink alcohol in Dubai in the main restaurants and hotels but remember to be respectful as after all it is a Muslim country and they don't condone bad behaviour.
