Jumeriah Hotel Port Soller, Mallorca
posted 18th April 2023
JUMERIAH PORT SOLLER...is described as a stunning clifftop retreat with panoramic views and a sumptuous spa.
I have stayed in some of the most amazing places all over the world and the Jumeriah port Soller is the most tranquil, serine hotel I have ever visited. Maybe because it is nestled on a cliff edge between the mountains and the sea it gives it the calming energy that radiates throughout the hotel. The tranquil vibes instantly relax you as you walk through their doors.
The location of the hotel is superb nestling on the cliff edge, everywhere you look the views are stunning. On one side you can see far out to sea with some of the best sunsets I have ever seen in my life. On the other side views of the mountains which are quite spectacular. It is absolutely breath taking.
As with all the Jumeriah hotels all over the world, it is of the highest standard, decorated to a level that you could not ask for more. Every detail has been carefully thought of and every request is met.
The first thing that you notice when you walk through the doors is the amazing aromas they use throughout the hotel, which instantly transports you into a calm space. Walking through the entrance you see the stunning chandelier which over hangs a large water feature to welcome you into the hotel. As you check in you are faced with a glass wall over looking the sea.
As with all the Jumeriah hotels you are met by staff who are trained to the highest standards, each an expert in their own area.
During our time in the hotel, we stayed in a suite looking up to the mountains. There is something quiet magical waking up to views of the mountains and its hard to describe, but you instantly feel a positive energy. I haven't felt so calm and relaxed and having read up on it apparently the mountains are believed to posses valuable ancient wisdom and the ability to provide a sense of tranquillity nothing else can compare with.
Our room was every bit as luxurious as you would expect it to be, with a large double bed, double sink and an amazing bath. I would describe it as a grand spacious room with stunning décor, carefully picked and a bed that was most comfortable. I slept so well.
The Talise Spa and Fitness Centre
The Talise Spa and fitness centre is on a whole other level as far as spas go. They have a large thermal outdoor spa where you can sit and take in the amazing views of the mountains. It is a whole experience in itself, as you sit and relax in the warm water you are instantly taken to a tranquil, relaxing space. You feel totally refreshed and energised. The spa also has a sauna, steam room, ice room and an abundance of treatments. It is a place to totally indulge and unwind.
Restaurants
The hotel has three restaurants all serving delicious food of the highest standard to enjoy. Every meal was a delight!
Cap Roig Brasserie offers fresh seasonal produce, sourced directly from the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurant is set on the cliffside with spectacular views. The sea food rice dish was amazing and the dessert was out of this world!
Sunset Lounge which is quite spectacular during the sunset. It is on the top floor of the hotel, on the cliff side over looking the sea. With an amazing setting, a DJ playing music as the sun goes down is quite magical. The food is amazing, it is a combination of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines.
Es Fanals is a sophisticated experience with seasonal Spanish and local plates, however, when we visited in April this was not open so we did not get to experience it. I think they open from May/June.
